  7. Nowadays   you   can   read   in  the
  8. newspapers  about Ecstacy and LSD and
  9. how  people take drugs when they goes
  10. to  rave-parties.  Everytime you read
  11. something  about rave there is always
  12. something  negative with it like, for
  13. example,  drugs.   I  know  that some
  14. people takes Ecstacy on raves but the
  15. newspapers   are   overreacting   and
  16. people  who don't know much about the
  17. rave-culture   got  a  very  negative
  18. view.   People  associate  rave  with
  19. drugs  and  I  think  they are wrong.
  20. Newspapers  saids  that  40%  of  the
  21. people  who  visits raves uses drugs.
  22. But  how  can  they  know?  It's very
  23. hard  to  see  which  persons  who is
  24. drugged   on   a   rave.    When  the
  25. newspapers write articles about drugs
  26. and  raves, more and more people vill
  27. visit rave-parties only for the drugs
  28. and  not for dancing.  Here in Sweden
  29. are   6  of  10  parties  secret  and
  30. therefor   they  are  illegal  and  I
  31. understand     why    swedish    rave
  32. organizers  prefer secret parties.  I
  33. have  visit  many  parties  which was
  34. totally drug-free but when the police
  35. hear  that  a  rave is organized they
  36. always  makes  raids  and destroy the
  37. whole thing.  The media already got a
  38. negative  view  about rave and it may
  39. be  worse  if  newspaper  don't  stop
  40. their  articles.   Some  people saids
  41. that  rave  is  a  drug-culture but I
  42. think  that  they  are totally wrong.
  43. ¶The  rave-culture  stands  for music,
  44. dance  and  joy.   I  know  that it's
  45. impossible    to    stop   all   drug
  46. activities  on a rave but it could be
  47. better.   People saids that they take
  48. an  "E"  to get the strength to dance
  49. the  whole  night and to increase the
  50. experience   between  music  and  the
  51. effects.   It's  over  40  documented
  52. deathcases  in  England  only,  and I
  53. don't  know  how  many  it's  in  big
  54. rave-countries  like Holland, Belgium
  55. and  Germany but I suppose it's quite
  56. many.   In  the  following pages I've
  57. written  some information about drugs
  58. like   LSD,   Heroine,   Ecstacy  and
  59. Cocaine.   I've tried to describe the
  60. effects and the consequences.

  66. LSD  is  a  synthetic  drug  that  is
  67. produced    in   laboratories.    The
  68. extremely  small  quantities  that is
  69. required for a dose, are dissolved in
  70. a  liquid that is dropped on stickers
  71. or blotting-paper.
  72. ²Effects: 
  73. ¹LSD  gives hallucinations.  The sence
  74. impression is totally changed and the
  75. world   around   is   maked   to   an
  76. fantasy-world  there  colors,  shapes
  77. and  distances  can  appear whatever.
  78. The   effects   of   LSD  is  usually
  79. described as a dream, or nightmare.
  80. ²This happens:
  81. ¹LSD  blocks  the  nerve fibres in the
  82. brain.    Sight-,  hearing-,  smell-,
  83. ¶touch-   and   tasteimpressions   are
  84. distorted.

  86. ²Damages: 
  87. ¹LSD   could   give   serious   mental
  88. diseases,  for  example  schizofrenia
  89. and  paranoia.  The drug addicted can
  90. be  hold  in  a  LSD-condition.  Many
  91. years after the abuse a flashback can
  92. appear  and  the  drug  addicted  may
  93. return  to  the  same  horrorworld as
  94. under  the  abuse.   Because  of  the
  95. hallucinations  there is a increasing
  96. risk  for accidents.  The drug addict
  97. can  for example believe that he is a
  98. bird and is able to fly....

  103. ¼               HEROINE

  106. Heroine  is extracted from the morfin
  107. that  is produced by the sap from the
  108. opium-poppy.   It's  a white or brown
  109. powder.  You can inject or smoke it.
  110. ²Effects: 
  111. ¹Heroine   makes   the   individ  very
  112. peaceful   and   the   drug  is  pain
  113. relieving.    Immediately  after  the
  114. injection  there  is  a short wave of
  115. well-  being.   Short after, the drug
  116. addicted  go  numb  and  appear  in a
  117. drowsy  trance there the world around
  118. is  forgotten.   The body feels warm,
  119. the limbs heavy and the mouth dries.
  120. ²This happens:
  121. ¹The heroine makes the central nervous
  122. system  unconscious  and  the part of
  123. ¶the   brain   which   regulates   the
  124. breathing.     The   heart-,   pulse,
  125. breathingactivities and bloodpressure
  126. are decreased.
  127. ²Damages: 
  128. ¹The  heroine  attacks the intestines.
  129. Serious  diseases,  like HIV, because
  130. of   impure   syringe   or  injection
  131. needles.   Dead  in  overdose because
  132. the   heart  anytime  can  stop  it's
  133. activities.

  138. Cocaine is produced from the blade of
  139. the  southamerican  cocabush.  It's a
  140. white  powder or crystals.  It can be
  141. sniffed or injected.

  143. ²Effects:
  144. ¹Cocaine  gives a intensive feeling of
  145. well-being.   The  confidence will be
  146. great  and all problem disappears for
  147. the  moment.   The  staying  power is
  148. increased.
  149. ²This happens:
  150. ¹It  stimulates  the  central  nervous
  151. system  in  a way which is used to be
  152. described   as   "explosive"  and  it
  153. closes        the       bloodvessels.
  154. Heartactivity,  pulse,  breathing and
  155. blood-    pressure   are   increased.
  156. Appetite     and    sleeping    needs
  157. disappears  and  the  sexual  urge is
  158. increased.
  159. ²Damages:
  160. ¹Braininjuries    after    that    the
  161. bloodvessels have bursted.  The heart
  162. is  injured  of  the strains and even
  163. ¶the  lungs  can  be  injured  by  the
  164. materials  that  the cocaine is mixed
  165. with,  for  example quinine.  Besides
  166. is  cocaine  so corrosive so the nose
  167. and the smelling organ are destroyed.
  168. Dead    in    overdose   because   of
  169. apoplectic  strike  or infarct of the
  170. heart.
  171. ¼               ECSTACY

  174. Ecstacy  is  a synthetic drug that is
  175. produced in laboratories.  Tablets or
  176. capsulates.   Ecstacy has many names,
  177. for     example     "Eve",    "Adam",
  178. "Halloween" or just "E".
  179. ²Effects: 
  180. ¹Ecstacy  gives  the  drug  addicted a
  181. feeling     of    well-being.     The
  182. confidence   is   increased  and  all
  183. problems  disappears  for the moment.
  184. The    staying    power   and   sense
  185. impressions  are  increased  and  the
  186. drug  addicted  is  in a condition of
  187. ecstacy.      The    drug    addicted
  188. experience  that  he is "one with the
  189. universe".
  190. ²This happens: 
  191. ¹Ecstacy    stimulates   the   central
  192. nervous  system  and  gives  the drug
  193. addicted    hallucinations.     Heart
  194. activity, pulse and bloodpressure are
  195. increased.  Sight-, hearing-, smell-,
  196. touch-   and   tasteimpressions   are
  197. improved.     In   combination   with
  198. physical   activities   is   a  chain
  199. reaction   activated  in  the  brains
  200. signalsubstances.

  202. ¹Mental  diseases.   It  disturbs  the
  203. ¶signalsubstances  in  the brain which
  204. regulates  the emotional life and you
  205. will  be  very insensitive.  They use
  206. to  say that the damages makes you to
  207. an   impassive   zombie.    Dead   in
  208. overdose   because   of  overheat  or
  209. infarct of the heart.

  212. Finally  I  just wanna say:  Organize
  213. more  good  rave-parties.   Dance and
  214. enjoy  the  music and the effects and
  215. have fun but stay away from "Eve"!
